This cyborg kills a child at the end of the film, but Sarah Connor did not kill one of the Terminators and she rescued John, so this cyborg was previously unable to kill humans. This cyborg sees humans as "meat" and wants to consume them.
The scene where the ten-year-old John is shown running away from his cyborg is later in the film. The cyborg can be distinguished from the others by the fact that he appears to lack hands, since the left arm and hand of the Terminator who is showing him has been replaced with an armored glove.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
This is the second film in the series and is considered the sequel. In this film the cyborgs come to Earth because they have detected a massive energy field coming from the planet below, which they believe is a nuclear explosion. They also believe that the human resistance is able to fight back, so they come to Earth to destroy it.
In a very different approach from the first film, there are two different versions of the Terminators in this film: the human cyborgs are called the "good cyborgs" and the technologically advanced cyborgs are called "the bad cyborgs". The three good cyborgs who arrive in Los Angeles are actually children (as opposed to the adults in the first film). The main antagonist of this film is not a single Terminator, but a'savior' cyborg who seeks to destroy mankind, though this cyborg is shown to be inferior to the other two, being hit by a car when the truck he is trying to stop crashes.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
This is a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, as is evidenced by the presence of two successive cyborgs who were clones of the same model (although they both have different movie specific names). As in Terminator 2, the good cyborgs come to Earth to stop the bad cyborgs from destroying mankind. However, in this movie the bad cyborgs (called "The Ash") had been taken to a parallel dimension where the O'Bannon Terminator (the "good" Terminator) who killed them was kept for some unknown reason, and they eventually escaped.
